The campsite welcomes you
in the heart of Drôme

“It was in June 2006 in Châteauneuf-sur-Isère, in the area of Drôme, at the edge of Provence that the 4-star campsite Le Soleil Fruité was born, surrounded by the Ardèche Mountains and the Vercors Massif.

Our campsite is conveniently located just 10 minutes away from exit 14 of the A7  motorway and only 5 minutes away from France’s famous Route Nationale 7, appropriately nicknamed The Holiday Road.

The Soleil Fruité campsite is located at the heart of the Rhône Valley, where the Isère and Rhône rivers meet. Deep in the countryside, the campsite is surrounded by greenery and fields of corn, sunflowers, and wheat. The campsite itself was built on a plot of apricot trees.

Also in the countryside, but only 10 minutes away from the town of Valence, the Drôme Prefecture is a quaint town, considered as the ‘gateway’ to Southern France. Romans-sur-Isère, Tournon-sur-Rhône and Tain l’Hermitage are among other close towns to visit. Tain l’Hermitage is particularly famous for its wines and premium chocolate manufacturer, Valrhona.

ViaRhôna and greenway bicycle paths are located right on Soleil Fruité’s doorstep. Tour the magnificent surroundings by following safe and peaceful bicycle routes – perfect for couples and families who wish to discover the Drôme region.

The Tour de France often passes by our campsite! Sports enthusiasts can take up the challenge of climbing the summits of the Vercors Regional Nature Park, including le Tourniol, les Limouches and la Bataille summits. The Vercors is a mountain range in the Alpes that offers a wide variety of sporting opportunities such as hiking, cycling, spelunking, paragliding, rock climbing, and canyoning.

During your stay, you can even book a train trip to Lyon (35 mins away), Marseille (1h15 away), and Paris (2h15 away) by TGV seeing as Valence’s modern TGV station is conveniently located only 11 minutes away from the campsite. Just a quick drive away from the Monts d’Ardèche Regional Nature Park, of which you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view from our restaurant, Soleil Fruité is a human-scale campsite with a warm and friendly atmosphere.

You’ll find all the peace and quiet you need for your well-deserved holidays. The families we welcome in high season can take part in a range of activities, including for young children, and enjoy relaxing moments in the evening.“ For safety reasons, dogs are not allowed in high season.
